In the simplest case ProcessLab is used to monitor a single process-relevant parameter in a bath or a process medium (process monitoring). Analysis modules and various analytical methods can easily be combined allowing the user to determine all the parameters relevant for process control. The analytical results are recorded systematically in a common database and are available for monitoring, direct control and feedback control. Metrohm Ion Analysis Individual process parameters are determined using the most suitable Metrohm analytical methods; if necessary these can be combined with one another:
- Direct measurements
- pH value
- Redox potential
- Conductivity
- Measurement with ion-selective electrodes
- ISE (i.e. fluoride, potassium, ammonia, etc.)
- Potentiometric titration
- Karl Fischer titration (water determination)
- Voltammetry
- Cyclic voltammetry stripping (CVS)
- Sample preparation
- Liquid handling with Dosinos and peristaltic pumps, adding additional reagents
- Dilutions
- Extractions
- Filtrations with membrane filters
- Integration of third-party equipment
- Refractive index
- Viscosity
- Density
- Balances
- Barcode reader
